Piazon foi um pedido de Luís Castro, técnico que está a caminho do Botafogo e aguarda o fim da temporada no Al-Duhail, do Qatar, para se apresentar no clube de General Severiano.

O meio-campista é o segundo jogador anunciado. Antes, o zagueiro Philipe Sampaio, ex-Guingamp-FRA, foi confirmado. O lateral-direito Renzo Saravia também tem conversas avançadas.

O’Neil could save his job by unleashing Wolves star ahead of Guedes

It’s very much make-or-break time for Gary O’Neil in the Wolverhampton Wanderers hot-seat, with one more defeat for the former AFC Bournemouth manager tonight as Old Gold boss looking likely to be curtains on another Premier League job post.

The same is also amazingly the case for Julen Lopetegui in the home dug-out for the high-stakes contest away at West Ham United, as both managers try and stave off being sacked for one more day.

The unbelievable pressure riding on the game might well see either O’Neil or Lopetegui make some bold calls in order to inspire their downtrodden troops, with the 44-year-old preparing to perhaps drop Goncalo Guedes for a new face to come in at the London Stadium.

Guedes' performance vs Everton

Nobody from a Wolves perspective would have come away from Goodison Park last time out with their heads held high, as a depressing 4-0 defeat began to sink in at the full-time whistle.

Guedes, in particular, struggled in the one-sided contest, as the below-par Wolves number 29 failed to strike any fear into the Everton defence across his lacklustre 57-minute showing.

Goncalo Guedes

Only managing one shot on Jordan Pickford’s goal, the 28-year-old went missing far too often before being hooked off by an annoyed O’Neil, with just a meagre 20 touches of the ball coming his way.

At least Matheus Cunha attempted to spark some life into his dejected side up top with one on-target effort from the Brazilian nearly beating the England international, but it wouldn’t have mattered much anyway as his team folded to hand the Toffees an emphatic victory.

The Portuguese attacker could find himself out of his under-fire boss’ XI for the trip to the Hammers consequently.

Wolves' perfect Guedes alternative

Starting Hwang Wee-Chan in normal circumstances might well be seen as risky, considering the South Korean ace has struggled with injury of late, leading to just two starts this season in the Premier League.

But, desperate times call for desperate measures, with O’Neil praying that the 28-year-old can recapture his goalscoring best for the Old Gold away at West Ham, having been a reliable source of strikes and entertainment last season.

The ex-RB Leipzig man was a fan’s favourite at Molineux for his stylish showings across the 2023/24 season, with 12 goals and three assists amassed from 29 league games, which included a fortuitous effort being hammered home away at Brentford last December.

Hwang will hope the ball falls to him in a similarly kind manner against Lopetegui’s hosts, as he strives to be the goalscoring hero that keeps O’Neil in his precarious job for at least one more top-flight clash.

Labelled in the past as being an attacking asset who has “got everything” by Arsenal icon Ian Wright, the forward will also be an option who could potentially replace Jorgen Strand Larsen, with the usually potent Nordic striker having a rare off-day in-front of goal versus Everton with two big chances not fired home.

Losing the 28-year-old to injury had hurt Wolves’ attacking numbers – but if he was to get back up to speed with a top display versus the Hammers – all that lost time will be forgotten about, with a run of fixtures the Old Gold would need to pick up more positive results from then opening up.

If the West Midlands outfit do pick up a win against West Ham, another two on the trot will be eyed up presumably versus Ipswich and Leicester, with Hwang potentially in the XI.

But, looking too far ahead could prove to be pointless if the Old Gold pick up another damaging loss next, resulting in O’Neil finally being dismissed.

Tottenham Hotspur chiefs see a £50 million forward as a “key” possible signing, with the Lilywhites among a trio of sides who are looking to bring him in next year.

Postecoglou under fire as Spurs consider January moves

Manager Ange Postecoglou is as frustrated as anyone by Spurs’ early-season form. The Australian has been unable to garner a consistent run of form from his side so far, who are fresh off the back of a fortnight of results which sums up their current state perfectly.

How Tottenham chiefs really feel about Postecoglou inside the boardroom

Spurs’ inconsistency has been a real problem.

ByEmilio Galantini Nov 12, 2024

Two weeks ago, Spurs knocked Premier League champions Man City out of the Carabao Cup, and followed that up with a statement 4-1 win at home against top four rivals Aston Villa.

However, the following week saw them fall 3-2 to Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray in the Europa League, and were then humbled with a 2-1 loss at home to newly-promoted Ipswich Town on remembrance Sunday.

Doubts are now beginning to surround Postecoglou and whether the 58-year-old is really the right man to take them forward. While Postecoglou retains the backing of Tottenham’s board, and is in no imminent danger of the axe, results will need to improve if he is to maintain the faith of club officials.

“That’s down to me,” said Postecoglou on Tottenham’s inconsistency. “That’s my responsibility. The inconsistency we’re having this year, ultimately it comes down to me and my approach and something I need to try and fix and see if I can help the players in that area.”

The January transfer window is looming, and could provide a solution. There are reports that Tottenham are considering a loan deal for Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler, who is facing an uncertain future at the Bernabeu considering his lack of game time under Carlo Ancelotti.

James Maddison has blew hot and cold this season, after such a promising start to his career last year, which has resulted in the Englishman missing out on four consecutive national team squads – including for Euro 2024.

Tottenham looking to sign Takefusa Kubo

This has led to reports that Spurs could bring in an alternative to Maddison. Another player capable of playing that role is Japan international Takefusa Kubo, who is currently plying his trade at Real Sociedad in La Liga.

Real Sociedad's Takefusa Kubo

Reports out of Spain this week claim Tottenham are looking to sign Kubo, and view the 23-year-old as a “key” potential addition for Postecoglou. Both Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also in the mix, though, so there is fierce competition for his signature heading into next year.

His contract includes a release clause of around £50 million, so Spurs know the price needed to bypass negotiations with Sociedad and head straight to the player to discuss terms.

“I think he’s having a good season,” said Zinedine Zidane on Kubo in 2020, during the player’s time at Real Madrid.

“He’s playing a lot and that’s what we all wanted. He is a very interesting player, for the present and the future. I’m happy he’s doing well. Of course, if he were to stay at home tomorrow then that’d be better.

“But, I wish him the best and urge him to continue like this. His future, though, we won’t decide until the summer. That’s something for later.”

Liton Das: T20I break worked in my favour

Batter used his time away from the team to get his mind ready for long-form cricket

Liton Das said that getting a break from T20s after the World Cup was a blessing in disguise after scoring by his maiden Test century against Pakistan in Chattogram. Liton was one of several high-profile players to be dropped from the Bangladesh squad for the three T20Is against Pakistan last week.Bangladesh lost 3-0 but many believed that the team management sent a stern message to Liton, Mushfiqur Rahim and Soumya Sarkar for their below par performance in the UAE. Liton (114) and Mushfiqur (91) have already bounced back in the first innings of the Chattogram Test.Liton used his time away from the team to get his mind ready for long-form cricket. He went to play a first-class match at BKSP, his alma mater, and sought the advice of his mentors from childhood, Nazmul Abedeen Fahim and Montu Dutta. He has also been tweaking his batting stance with Bangladesh batting coach Ashwell Prince.Related

“Maybe they gave me a break to do well in Tests,” Liton said. “I think we got the main result from the break after the World Cup. As far as mental preparations are concerned, I played a first-class match after coming back from the World Cup. I had this Test series in mind. I didn’t expect too much from myself but I prepared adequately.”Both (psychological and technical) aspects are important. The technical aspects are crucial. Even the smallest change in something like your stance can make a huge difference. It could change the style of play. It is nothing new. When I was in BKSP playing the NCL match, I spoke to Fahim sir and Montu sir about this particular problem. I worked with him (Prince) in Chittagong, when he felt I needed a small change. I won’t say that I did well because I changed my stance. I worked hard to come to this stage.Liton said that Mushfiqur motivated him constantly during their partnership, especially when he was cramping all over his body late on the first day.”I had plenty of small partnerships with (Mushfiqur) . This one was a big partnership. It feels great when your partner helps you, motivates you. Together we overcame a tough situation.”(Mushfiqur) kept telling me to stick around, especially when I was cramping towards the end of the day. He said it would be tough for a new batter. I just wanted to survive till the end of the day,” he said.About the state of play – Pakistan are 145 for 0 in response to Bangladesh’s 330 all out – Liton is hopeful that a new day brings better luck. After all, all 10 wickets in this match have fallen in the first session of play.”We are not thinking about the result yet. When we lost four wickets before lunch, everyone thought we would be bowled out early. Mushfiq and I put together a good partnership. By the end of the day, we were thinking about a big total.”But cricket is unpredictable. Pakistan are in a good position now. If we can take two or three wickets tomorrow morning, we will be back on par. The run-rate isn’t too high. It is difficult to score quickly on this pitch. A lot depends on the third day,” he said.Bangladesh’s bowling has been a bit insipid so far, but they can take inspiration from the Liton-Mushfiqur partnership. It turned around the batting innings for them, particularly Liton who continued his good year in Tests with the century.”It is always a difficult question about consistency. Everyone tries to be consistent. I will continue the process of my last six or seven Tests. I can’t expect to score a hundred in my next innings. I have to start from zero next time. It is always a challenge, but I will try to stick to my process,” he said.

Signed in 2023, now worth 120% more: Ipswich hit gold with "unique" star

It’s been a frankly extraordinary few seasons for Ipswich Town.

The club appointed an inexperienced manager in Kieran McKenna, who has led them to back-to-back promotions, making it back into the Premier League for the first time in 22 years.

However, while much of the club’s recent success is down to the man management and tactical nous of the Northern Irishman, the players and brilliant transfers conducted in recent windows can’t be forgotten.

For example, in the summer of 2023, the Blues signed several exciting talents who have since become essential players for the club, including one star whose value has skyrocketed 120%.

Ipswich's brilliant 2023 signings

So, before we get to the player whose value has more than doubled since joining the club, let’s take a look at a couple of other brilliant signings made in 2023, starting with a loan acquisition: Omari Hutchinson.

Yes, a year before he made a permanent £20m switch to Portman Road, the former Chelsea prospect joined McKenna’s revolution on a season-long loan and made quite the impression as his subsequent transfer would suggest.

In all, the Redhill-born talent made 50 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals, providing six assists, and winning the club’s Young Player of the Year Award to boot.

However, the 20-year-old was not the only savvy pickup in 2023, as another player who arrived for nothing was former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe, who joined on a free transfer in September.

The once-capped Congolese international was limited to just a handful of appearances for the first half of the season due to injury and fitness concerns, but once he was given a run of starts in February, his ability was impossible to deny.

By the end of the campaign, he was the club’s starting right-back, and while a thumb injury has seen him sidelined since October 4th, the Bunia-born gem started the first six league games of this season, showing that he can and likely will have a large part to play this year.

However, there was another exciting player the club signed and paid for last season that has just grabbed the headlines and has seen his valuation more than double.

George Hirst's valuation in 2024

Yes, the player in question is English striker George Hirst, who joined Ipswich from Leicester City for about £1.5m in July 2023.

The Sheffield-born poacher impressed on loan with Portsmouth in the 2021/22 season, but with just two appearances for the Foxes, there were some question marks over how he would fare in the Championship, but to say he has exceeded expectations at Portman Road so far would be an understatement.

For example, while injuries limited the “unique” marksman, as dubbed by McKenna, to just 29 appearances for the club last season, he still managed to rack up a seriously impressive haul of seven goals and seven assists, meaning he maintained an average of a goal involvement once every 2.07 games.

Moreover, while knee surgery in the summer has limited his game time this season, the “powerful” 25-year-old, as dubbed by journalist Alan Biggs, looked brilliant on his first start against Brentford over the weekend, scoring and assisting a goal in the first half.

Unsurprisingly, these impressive performances for the Tractor Boys have seen the poacher’s valuation soar, with Transfermarkt now pricing him at €4m, which converts to around £3.3m, or 120% more than he cost the club just over a year ago.

Ultimately, Ipswich made several clever signings last summer, and while he might not be a household name at the moment, Hirst looks more than ready to make an impact in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool have struck gold on £4m signing who’s now worth 650% more

The Arne Slot era is off to a flyer. Liverpool wreaked devastation against West Ham United in the Carabao Cup to win 5-1 and make it six wins from seven matches in all competitions so far.

Liverpool were defeated at Anfield by Nottingham Forest in what appeared to be a hangover from the September international break, but there is so much to like, so much to get excited by.

Fans have been delighted to see different players pop up and impress. For example, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have been two of Liverpool’s best performers this season, even though both play on the left wing. Indeed, Diaz has posted five from five in the Premier League while the Dutchman has caused a storm in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

Liverpool players congratulate Cody Gakpo

Harvey Elliott has yet to strut his stuff, cruelly ruled out during the international break after fracturing his foot with England U21s, but he’s set to play a big part upon his return, having really come into his own at the end of the Jurgen Klopp era.

Harvey Elliott at Liverpool

At the end of 2023, Elliott expressed that he was not happy to merely play the part of ‘super sub’ for Klopp’s Redmen, instead wanting a nailed-down starting berth.

Harvey Elliott and Jurgen Klopp

Injuries and his skyrocketing form granted that wish, and the 21-year-old would play one of the most important roles in winning the Carabao Cup and restoring Champions League football with a third-place finish, scoring one goal and adding four assists across the last six games of the term.

It makes the tribunal fee worth £4m that was paid for his services in 2019 – when he was 16 years old – feel pretty paltry, having already played a part in winning a wealth of domestic silverware and making 120 appearances for the Liverpool first team, scoring ten goals and providing 15 assists.

Hailed as a “special talent” by The Athletic’s James Pearce, Elliott has really gone from strength to strength over his years spent at Anfield, and could now reach new heights entirely under Slot’s wing, with the new boss implementing a 4-2-3-1 system that could really benefit the playmaker.

Harvey Elliott's transfer value in 2024

Interestingly, Elliott principally operates as an attacking midfielder for England U21s. Across his last five appearances in the role for his nation, he has scored seven goals and claimed three assists.

For Klopp last year, however, he was utilised in a deeper and more compact way. The German’s heavy-metal brand of football required immense work from those in the middle of the park, fuelling the turbo-charged attack.

Market Movers

Football FanCast's Market Movers series explores the changing landscape of the modern transfer market. How much is your club's star player or biggest flop worth today?

Now, Elliott could move into a more suitable role at number ten, as Dominik Szoboszlai does for Slot, who likes more of a stretched triangular shape to his midfield, with a player like Elliott perched at the frontal point.

Dominik Szoboszlai for Liverpool

It might just see the technician raise his game to the next level. As per FBref, Elliott ranks among the top 1% of attacking midfielders and wingers across Europe’s top five leagues over the past year for assists, the top 2% for passes attempted and the top 3% for progressive passes and the top 19% for tackles won per 90 – now just imagine if Slot succeeds in shaping him into an even more formidable forward.

He’s certainly got the talent, and that’s recognised by his rise in market value. According to Transfermarkt, Elliott is worth about £30m at present, which marks a 650% rise in the five years since he made the move to Merseyside.

To be honest, that figure could balloon over the coming years, for this is a rising star who has what it takes to become one of the best in Europe.

Buoyant Ireland eye history against South Africa

Quinton de Kock expected to return for final ODI

Firdose Moonda15-Jul-2021

The Ireland side had plenty of reason to celebrate during the second ODI•Sportsfile via Getty Images

Big PictureIreland are one win away from their biggest ODI achievement on home soil. Victory over South Africa in the third ODI will be the first time they take a series off a team ranked in the top eight, the first time they beat a top eight team in successive matches, and their first series win in their last six, since beating Zimbabwe in July 2019.It would also put them in third place on the World Cup Super League table, behind England and Bangladesh. Though Ireland will have played more games than anyone besides England, sitting in that spot will revive their hopes of automatic qualification for 2023.On the other side, South Africa can only go up into 10th spot, ahead of their next scheduled opponents, Netherlands and will know that if they don’t take all available points from this next game, qualification could become tricky. The World Cup Super League promised us context, and context it has delivered. To their credit, the touring party have not used the situation back home as an excuse for their performance on Tuesday – at present South Africa is gripped by violent unrest, particularly in the provinces of Kwa-Zulu Natal and Gauteng, where several players in the current squad are based, and have friends and family. Still, they will have to try and put thoughts of these weighty matters aside when they take the field because this is a match of great consequence.Form guideIreland WLWLLSouth Africa LLWLWIn the spotlightHarry Tector played what his captain called the “innings of the day”, in the second ODI when he notched up a career-best 79* off 68 balls to lead Ireland’s acceleration. Tector has now scored two fifties in his last three ODI innings and is building steadily on a career that began with a duck against England in Southampton last year. He is a clean hitter with a solid temperament and seems to relish the big occasion. He was hit on the chin when he ducked into an Anrich Nortje delivery on Tuesday, and that spurred him on to finish strongly. He is just 21 years old and Ireland will see in him a long-term prospect for the future.South Africa’s death bowling has been under scrutiny throughout the series in West Indies and is back in the spotlight again. The three quicks, Kagiso Rabada and/or (depending on who is in the team) Anrich Nortje, Lungi Ngidi and Andile Phehlukwayo, tend to do most of the bowling in the last period and have struggled to find the right lengths. Yorkers are absent, full tosses abound and although there is some evidence of variation in pace, it is not as effective as South Africa may intend. Phehlukwayo, in particular, is a concern. He was once seen as South Africa’s best option at the end of innings, but his last two overs in the previous match cost 26.Team newsIreland will wait on the fitness of William Porterfield, who missed the second match with a finger injury. If he is unable to play, Andy Balbirnie, who scored a century opening the batting in the previous game, will likely continue in that role. Curtis Campher, if he plays, will be as a specialist batter only as he makes his comeback from ankle surgery but may still bat below George Dockrell, also playing as a batter, though he bowled seven overs in the last match.Ireland: (possible) 1 Paul Stirling, 2 Andy Balbirnie (capt), 3 Andy McBrine, 4 Harry Tector, 5 George Dockrell, 6 Mark Adair, 7 Curtis Campher, 8 Lorcan Tucker (wk), 9 Simi Singh, 10 Josh Little, 11 Craig YoungQuinton de Kock was rested for the first two matches but is expected to return for the series finale. PSL set to resume on June 9, final on June 24

The tournament will be played in Abu Dhabi, despite speculation in recent days that it was going to to be moved to Sharjah

The PSL schedule is set to be compressed to end by June 24•PCB

The sixth season of the PSL will resume from June 9, with a final set for June 24. The tournament will after all be played in Abu Dhabi, despite speculation in recent days that it was going to be moved to Sharjah. The compressed schedule means there will be as many as six double-headers, with the early games starting at 5pm Abu Dhabi time, and the evening matches at 10pm local time. Single matches will start at 8pm.The remaining league games will be played from June 9 to 19, the Qualifier and first Eliminator on June 21, the second Eliminator on June 22 and the final on June 24.*The fate of the tournament had been hanging in the balance for the last two weeks with several challenges around logistical arrangements and more crucially pending approvals from Abu Dhabi government. One of the main roadblocks was getting the necessary exemptions for the production crew from India and South Africa to land in the UAE. The delay in their visas and then clearances for chartered flights caused a delay as they are meant to undergo 10 days in quarantine on arrival. The seven-day isolation period for players and staff who arrived in the UAE via chartered flights from Pakistan ended on June 2 but a delay in the arrival of the production crew forced the PCB to rejig the schedule. The tournament was earlier meant to start not later than June 5 and they had considered Sharjah as an alternative where the quarantine rules are not as strict as in Abu Dhabi.Related

How the PSL plans to beat the Abu Dhabi heat

“Since its inception in 2016, the HBL PSL has embraced and overcome numerous challenges, only to emerge as a stronger and competitive league year-on-year,” Wasim Khan, the PCB chief executive, said in a statement.”The enhancement and credibility of the brand remains critical to the PCB and I am pleased that we have continued to take decisive actions in the face of ongoing pressures and major challenges outside of our control over the last 10 days. Everyone has worked tirelessly to find solutions and way forward, and I am delighted that we are now in a position to announce the complete schedule. The schedule for the PSL’s resumption in 2021•ESPNcricinfo Ltd

“There was a consensus between the PCB and the franchises that it was imperative to complete the remaining matches in 2021 so that we have a clean 2022 [for the next season]. Now, after overcoming all obstacles through due diligence and careful planning, I believe we have collectively achieved the desired objective that was set in March following the postponement. The PCB has had lengthy negotiations with the Abu Dhabi government to stage the tournament in the emirate, and got clearances too recently, but the resumption has not been as smooth as it was expected. Over the last 15 days, the PCB even came close to postponing the event further, but the board has now managed to put most of the pieces together and finalise on June 9 as the resumption date. One of the biggest challenges was to wrap up the league before June 22 as the Pakistan squad was set to fly to England on June 23 which was later changed to June 25 after the ECB agreed to delay the start of the bilateral tour to accommodate the PSL. But there will be no change in the dates of the matches with the first game of the tour, an ODI in Cardiff, set to be played on July 8.The squad will land in Manchester from where they will be transported to Derby for the mandatory 10-day isolation period and training session. They will then move to Cardiff on two days before the first ODI.”We are grateful and thankful for the support and backing we have received from the UAE and Pakistan governments. I would like to thank the England & Wales Cricket Board for their flexibility, the Emirates Cricket Board, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, as well as all the franchise owners for backing our approach and supporting our decision-making.”Overall, over 300 personnel – both from Pakistan and overseas – are in Abu Dhabi and a majority of them (other than the ones from India and South Africa) have already completed their quarantine. Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars completed their quarantine and started training on Wednesday, while the other four sides will start training from today. Players and player support personnel, who have completed the mandatory seven-day room isolation and returned three negative tests, are allowed to integrate with their sides and participate in training sessions. The PCB had arranged chartered flights for arriving in the UAE but those who were left behind due to visa glitches were made to fly through commercial flights, including Quetta Gladiators’ Sarfaraz Ahmed, who, along with a few other individuals, was not allowed to board a commercial flight from Lahore and Karachi to Abu Dhabi via Doha on last Sunday. They flew a day later to take a different route via Bahrain. There are still over seven personnel, including players and support staff, waiting fo their visas.*1230 GMT: The story was updated after the PCB announced the fixtures on Thursday

Spurs already have the perfect Son heir in "outstanding" homegrown teen

It's been a mixed start to the Premier League season for Tottenham Hotspur so far this year.

Ange Postecoglou's side drew 1-1 away to Leicester City in their opening game of the campaign, then smashed Everton 4-0 at home the following weekend before falling to a 2-1 defeat away to Newcastle United last week.

However, while the results certainly haven't been ideal, the performances have given fans reasons to be hopeful, and just like he was last season, Son Heung-min looks like he's going to be one of the club's biggest goal threats this year.

However, as talented as the South Korean superstar is, he is also 32 years old. Therefore, the Lilywhites have to start thinking about a long-term replacement for him, although the good news is that they may well already have one.

Son's Spurs career

Tottenham fans have been blessed with some incredibly talented players in their recent history, from Luka Modrić and Gareth Bale over a decade ago to Harry Kane and Son in recent years.

Tottenham captain Heung-min Son

However, while the others eventually left, the former Bayer Leverkusen ace has remained in N17 and has established himself as a bonafide modern-day legend amongst the fanbase, and for good reason.

Since making his £22m move to the club in 2015, the Chuncheon-born dynamo has made 411 appearances, in which he has scored a staggering 164 goals and provided 84 assists to boot, meaning that he has averaged a goal involvement every 1.65 games since his arrival – talk about world-class.

In fact, he is such an elite goalscorer that in the 2021/22 season, he won the Premier League Golden Boot alongside Mohamed Salah, but what's so impressive is that none of his 23 league goals that season were penalties.

In all, Son is an icon of the Premier League and will go down as one of the Lilywhites' best-ever players, but at 32 years old, the club must plan for his eventual departure or decline, and while he's got enormous shoes to fill, the North Londoners might already have the perfect heir in their academy.

Why fans should be excited about Mikey Moore

The youngster in question is Spurs' academy gem, Mikey Moore.

The 17-year-old has been a tour de force in the Lilywhites' youth sides in recent years and, in just 33 appearances, has already racked up a seriously impressive haul of 20 goals and 15 assists, which equates to an average of a goal involvement every 0.94 games, or 1.06 per match.

The "outstanding" talent, as dubbed by Postecoglou, has been so impressive in the junior sides that he has now made two senior competitive appearances despite still being just 17 years old.

However, while his small cameos in the Premier League this season show how highly the club rate him, his performances in preseason showed how special a player he is.

For example, the Southwark-born star scored against Hearts and Vissel Kobe during the summer, and while they were friendlies, it's still a massive step up from playing against kids.

Interestingly, the "brilliant" youngster, as talent scout Jacek Kulig dubbed him, has played in a variety of positions, from centre-forward to attacking midfield, for the Lilywhites' youth teams.

However, his most played position remains left-wing, meaning that he could potentially come off the bench for the captain at points this season, in a bid to get more first-team minutes.

Ultimately, Moore is still a kid, and Son looks like he could play at the top level for another couple of years, but when he does eventually need to be replaced, Spurs should already have the perfect candidate.
